All about my family - Week 1

Kia ora my name is Kalae - Anne Tuarua Proctor and my whanau is very special.
We are very happy to be Tuarua.
My papa passed away last year and in my eyes I think he may still call me black as...he called me that because each year I always got browner.
We celebrate our culture and we look after our tamariki and we look after other people whares.

We celebrate our culture because we love each other so we stay together for ever.

Super Hero Day

What a great day we had at school on Friday because we all dressed up as a

super hero from a book or a character. My super hero was a bat cat,  my super power uses a whip so if you are a baddie she can whip you with it.
It will leave a red line across your butt.
Henrietta won the compertion for the best costume, she came as a lady who is a surfer and she got her arm bitten of from a shark and she is still helping kids to love the water. I thought that she would come first anyway.

Camp Omatua

This is my work about how I felt at camp.
My first triangle is my name.
The second is when I felt good going tubing.
Then the next is me

Then the next is me hating the red slide at the Onekawa pools, and my lucky last is the worst...the eels!!! The colours I used on my name were two different purples and the background was plain black. The next were brown blue and yellow.

Thank you if you comment!

My buddy from Room 6 & 7

                                               Buddy class !

My buddy is called Shanae Gallager.  She is 5 years old and her brothers and sisters names are
Neash and Conner.  Her favourite spot in her class is the family corner which is in the dress up corner.

After we talked about who we are, we went out to have a photo.  We had a selfie and then we had a 20 min play on the playground.

Here is a photo of my buddy and I.

OLIVE RICH

My superhero lives in a house that is invisible so if a burglar comes to steal something it won’t know where they are going.  BUT...Olive knows where she is going through because she can press a button on a remote.  She made it all by herself in a beautiful land called America.

My superhero has red short shorts on and an aqua coloured top, on that it has a logo that says s.  She has blue gloves and holds a red sword.  Olive Rich also wears black high heels, Olive’s skin is as brown as a meat pattie in a cheese burger.  Olive also has dark blue big rubber bands around her.  Olive has a mask that is plain black and she also wears a silver head band and on the front of it she has a daisy.  She also has these enormous bright purple wings that are bigger than me.

Olive is a caring, kind, helpful and of course loving.  She protects her town from robbers and stupid people.  She also looks after her little sister and loves her as well as looks out for her as well.

Rotate, Reflect and Translate

This week I have been working very hard to accomplish this mathmatic art. We have also learnt about rotation (turning), reflection (flipping) and translation (sliding).  First you trace your hand on a  coloured paper and then cut them out and glue it on a bigger paper and write - Normal, Rotate, Reflect and also Translate.
